Thursday, November 24

The first part of the week has slipped by and here we are on Thanksgiving, excited to ski with the kidlings.

I finished up the yoga weekend with a deep backbendy class on Sunday morning.  Here's to hoping I am doing this kind of thing (and more) when I am pushing 60:
Way to go Jamie!

I was kind of eager to get home and see the Fox Family, who were by this time in Gunnsion for Francis' hockey weekend.  I kind of raced over Monarch pass and through the delightful meadowlands outside of Gunnison and encountered the Foxes walking back from the town park to the hockey rink.  Little Rose jumped in the car with me and we filled up on coffee and a vanilla steamer at The Bean for the drive back home.

We had a really pleasant drive through Montrose and up into our mountain valley home, listening to Wah! and talking about our favorite parts of the songs, about the Hindu gods and goddesses, about Sanskrit... here is one of our favorites, which just happens to be my current ringtone:

I managed to pull myself back into the workd groove, which is now kind of challenging because we are so busy, we are booking Christmas and New Year's dinner reservations already.  Nothing like the future to bring you out of the present.

Kidlings come over in 30 minutes for opening day of skiing!  Blueberry pancakes on right now.  I might make another posting later in the day about gratitude and thanks but no promises now.

I just want to ski.
