Still at the yoga weekend and hiding in my room again. For no other reason than the fact that I need a break from people time more than other people, it seems.
I have it figured out here and I like it. Jamie sets up these weekend workshops at their home and while she teaches in the studio downstairs Justin cooks incredible meals and then cleans up after us. Here is what we have eaten so far:
Friday lunch
butternut squash soup
huge killer salad
quesadillas with veggies
hot tea
Friday dinner
squash and mung bean dal kind of
kale sauteed with ghee
huge killer salad
bread with ghee
assortment of cookies and sweets
wine (!)
Saturday breakfast
local scrambled eggs
local fresh yogurt
sauteed apples and pears with cinnamon
range of breads for toast
Saturday lunch
lentil vegetable soup
brown rice
huge killer salad
assortment of cookes and sweets
Last night after dinner I fled to my room where I read and passed out after the wind died down around 9pm or so. Our morning hour was spent talking about some philosophical points, then we had a nice arm balance practice after breakfast. Our next practice is in 30 minutes or so.
I am really happy I came out to do this, but I miss my husband.
I went for a walk after lunch so I could phone JC (you get cell phone service up the road) but he didn't answer so I chatted with Sister for a few. It is all farmland and mountains here, so gorgeous. Colorado is the best state, no question. Horses, fields, mountains, orchards, deer, views and vistas, old fences, dirt roads, huge skies. Nothing like it.
