Saturday, December 17

Thank god it's Saturday and I am not at work.  JC and I have concluded that a large part of living and working in a resort town involvevs, at this time of year, preparing for other people's Christmases.  This past week has been nutso, making restaurant reservations for people who insist that 5:30pm in too early, and now let's make it for 7 people instead of 5, but can't we get something around 7:30? and why don't we see if we can move it to our last night instead of our first because we have friends we want to eat with, so maybe we can make it for 9 people after all...  Happy Holidays!

I do like how fast time goes when I am this busy at work, and it has led me to a weekend full of festivities.  Last night we had JC's Christmas party at Honga's which was great of course.  Lots of sushi and sake and dark and stormies and laughs.  This morning we are snagging a tree to put up tomorrow night, and so far we are starting the day with advent calendars, pink grapefruits, egg sandwiches, pancakes and pleasant music.

More later...
