Friday already. It's been cold this week, negatiev or single digits a few nights. I am at 26 days of skiing, close to halfway to my goal, which is 80 days. Apparently there is a shift in the weather pattern that has been blocking storms from delivering to the Colorado mountains, so we expect some snowfall to start in the next week.
I had a nice class last night, I talked about what you do when you realize you are in a relationship and you realize it is unsustainable for some reason, what your choices are and how you handle it. I had a mini-breakthrough this past week, that coincided with subbing Kristin's class on Tuesday. The best you can do is tell someone how you feel and ask for what you want. The outcome? Not up to me. But if I have done my part, those two tasks, I can let go of any expected outcome. Just prepare myself to receive.
So we worked with alignment principles and increased clarity of taking care of your needs in poses, then reaching back out to ask for what you want. It was a nice class, 9 people, some familiar faces and some new ones. I never thought I would like teaching this much.
The kidlings came back last night, they seem very happy. Ski P.E. is in full force, both of them loving the extra day to ski instead of being in school. Francis is doing Ski Club, a little more focussed than regular Ski P.E. and is loving it. He has the best coaches - Hugh Sawyer and Caleb Martin, and I expect he will accelerate rapidly.
Our outkook this weekend with the kids: ski as much as we can and relax around it.
