Saturday, February 11

President's Week looms and already town feels busier and more buzzy.  We were super duper busy at work on Friday, just a lot of shenanigans fielding rich people's "plans".  Through their assistants.

More importantly, I had 15 people in yoga on Thursday!!!  I'm not sure if that was a fluke or the beginning of a trend, but it was delightful.  Six months ago it would have made me nervous but it was a great group and I had a great practice lined up and it turned out great.  Everyone was so into it and motivated and it was super rewarding to look out and see everyone doing exactly what I said and loving it!  Even when we were practicing hanuman, the runner's stretch/splits.  On the walk to the studio I ran into my former boss who asked if I could come into his new job and do a short stretchy-class every week or so.  Absolutely!  Now, this is the direction I am expecting my life to take.

Kidlings are back this weekend, and I came down early from skiing because I am not feeling fantastic and I want to be close to 100% for yoga practice tomorrow morning.  We are going to work on a dragonfly peak pose as well as some of the level 2 poses from last week that we are challenged by:

I don't know who that woman is but that is what we will be doing around 11:15 am tomorrow. Might not be smiling like that, though.  Oh, and I don't wear loose pants like that, too flappy.  It requires some major hip flexibility (all the stuff skiing and hiking undo) plus some upper torso twisty stuff.

Anyway, Frances went to Gunnison with his mom and her sister and family for a hockey tournament so we have Little Rose to ourselves for the rest of the weekend.  Her anticipated sleep-over date fell through because her friend is sick so we thought we would go to the Ouray Hot Springs this afternoon to soak and swim, then perhaps I can talk JC into stopping at Buen Tiempo afterwards for nachos!!

Tomorrow will be day 50 on my skis this winter, inching towards my goal of 90.  I think this winter the mountain is open 130-ish days?  McLovin' my new skis.  I am starting to trust them more, which is weird, but I kind of have to give them the what-for and then sit back and let them do their thing.  Plus the snow is exceptional right now, which makes every turn feel dreamy.
